23.00. Called “Airlift Cab” guys. Tried doing an Online booking for a cab
23.15. Pop up message saying “Our Customer Care guys will help you make this booking”
23.30. Waited for a call back
23.45. Waited for a call back
Day One: 11th June 2008
00.00. Still waited for a call back and tried reaching them back, but in vain
00.15. Slept off, with an alarm for 03.30
03.30. Got up. Called AirLift, But NO CAB(as booking can be done only 6 hrs in advance)
03.35. Called City Taxi (oops.. he said 850 Bucks to drop at BIAL from IndiraNagar)
03.37. Checked the availability of BMTC Buses from HAL to BIAL (we had buses at 04.00 and 04.30am)

03.39. Called City Taxi and confirmed for a pickup at 04.30.
04.10. Out of bath.
04.20. Cab Driver called.
04.25. Boarded the Cab.

06.35. Flight taking off the BIAL.
Learning…
Lemme NOW take you through the Learning from this, which i could implement the same day. When i checked the bus timings at 03.37am, I didnt miss to check the BMTC timings in the evening, back from BIAL to IndiraNagar. Here comes the Evening Minutes.
15.30. Left Akshara, Chennai to MAA Airport.
16.45. Reached Airport.
17.10. Checked inĀ and boarded Deccan (crazy.. NO AC and we were sitting inside oven for 30 minutes)
18.40. Landed at BIAL (cool clouds, awesome setup.. but.. only for my EYES. Didnt even click a picture)
18.55. Walked out toward the Bus Station.
19.00. Boarded the BMTC Volvo BUS (paid Rs.150, against Rs.850 i paid in the morning)
20.00. Crossed Mekhri Circle. (what a comfortable journey…)
20.40. Got Dropped in Nandini Restaurant, just 100 metres away from my home.
As most of the air travellers said and newspapers wrote, it took more than 5.5 hrs to reach chennai from my Bangalore home(one way). But, i suggest, if you have no option of a private vehicle, atleast make use of the Public Transport, especially the lovely Volvo. Thanks for your time.
