The eighth edition of the International Jawa Yezdi day celebration was held at the Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore. The event was organized by the Bangalore Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle club. The Jawa and Yezdi bikes were well known for their reliability and an amazingly low cost of maintenance. The bikes that turned up on the celebration were mainly sold in between 1960 to 1996 and sported 65 cc to 350 cc engines. Almost, 400 models of the bikes turned up on the occasion and participated in a rally that ended at Channapatna.
